Beth Heaney is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University, specializing in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Following her graduation she worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital as one of the first Nurse Practitioners on the Behavioral Intervention Team. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Population Health from Rush University. As part of her doctoral work, she implemented a Collaborative Care Management program at the Federally Qualified Health Center where she worked in Illinois. She then moved to the University of Rochester, where she is currently the Clinical Director of the proactive service, PRIME in Medicine. She holds a joint appointment with the University of Rochester School of Nursing as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing.
