Pamela Mirsky, M.D., FACLP grew up near Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her MD from Temple University School of Medicine, where she also did her Psychiatry internship. She completed her Psychiatry residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and fellowships in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (through Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Boston VA Medical Center) and Integrative Medicine (through the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine). She is board-certified in Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and Integrative Medicine. For four years Dr. Mirsky directed the Psychiatry Consultation Service at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and then moved into Integrated outpatient settings including Primary Care and Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinics. She established the Mindfulness Clinic at Banner University Medical Center South, where she saw individual patients for mindfulness-based psychotherapy and taught Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) groups. She is a Qualified Teacher MBCT through the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute, has completed the nine-month certification program through the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, and is a graduate of the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP). She founded Mindful Hummingbird, PLLC to pursue teaching mindfulness full-time, and aims to help individuals harness their own inner resources to better face the challenges of everyday life. She remains Associate faculty with the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and is also a teacher with Cloud Sangha, an online mindfulness community.
