Kelly L. Cozza, MD, DLFAPA, FACLP is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) and National Capital Consortium Psychiatry Residency Program, a senior faculty-clinician at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and a scientist for the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS) at USU in Maryland. She serves as Vice Chair for the Department of Psychiatry, leading the undergraduate medical education division, and as the Department of Psychiatry Director of Faculty Development, Academic Appointments, and Promotions.
Dr. Kelly Cozza has published and lectured extensively in the areas of psychopharmacology, HIV/AIDS, and medical education. She is a founding member and former co-chair of the World Psychiatric Association Workgroup for HIV and the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (ACLP) Special Interest Group (SIG) for HIV. Her current areas of clinical and research interest include HIV, psychopharmacology, collaborative care of medically complicated patients, and psychiatric education for medical students and residents. She and her USU Medical Education Team have developed synchronous, asynchronous, tele-simulation, and tele-health undergraduate medical educational materials that have a global audience and impact.
